Naher Media – Deir ez-Zor
The Northern Region Administration of AANES in Deir ez-Zor announced a curfew in the northern region, starting from Wednesday 21-9-2022 until further notice.
According to the announcement, the curfew came according to the instructions of the General Command of the Internal Security Forces in Deir Ezzor, provided that the curfew period is from six in the evening until six in the morning. During this period, the passage of motorcycles and large cars is prohibited, with the exception of small cars (buses, taxis ..), while the departments of centers and police stations are asked to follow up on the implementation of the ban and to communicate with the imams of mosques in their areas and villages in order to broadcast this ban in mosques and inform the people of the areas about it.
The Northern Region Administration stated that the ban will be applied in order to preserve the public interest and to ensure the safety and security of citizens.
It is worth noting that the reasons that prompted the administration of the northern region to adopt this ban are not yet known.However, it is thought that it will decrease activities of ISIS members.
