The disagreement between the Lebanese Hezbollah and the Iraqi Hezbollah Brigades were renewed yesterday (Monday), in an attempt by the Lebanese Hezbollah to impose its control on the military crossing for the militias, .which led to its closure and the stop of smuggling operations
Naher Media correspondent said: “The intensification of the dispute between the two parties led to the intervention of the Iraqi golden division forces, as special groups arrived from the city of Mosul in order to try to resolve disagreement.”
The correspondent added, “The interference of the Golden Division did not get any results, due to the insistence of the Iraqi Hezbollah Brigades to maintain the management of the crossing.” It is believed that the Lebanese Hezbollah guerrillas attempt to control the crossing reflects the financial distress experienced by the Hezbollah’s leadership in Syria, due to the economic crisis left by the spread of Corona virus
